Finance 101

A strong financial foundation is one of the keys to the success and sustainability of your organization whether it’s new or established. Join us for an introduction to nonprofit finance and budgeting that will help you gain an understanding of basic finance concepts, budgeting “how-to” and other key concepts including internal controls, financial statements analysis, and financial management best practices, and IRS Form 990.

Trainer: Theresa Lu

Theresa Lu, Ph.D. is the Founder and CEO of Mission Quest, a consulting practice of professional grant writers and program evaluators. She has over 24 years of experience working with nonprofit organizations, and trains throughout Orange, Los Angeles, Riverside and Central California. She also serves as an associate professor at The Chicago School of Psychology and adjunct professor at California State University, Dominguez Hills.



Cancellation policy: We require notice of cancellation at least 48 hours in advance of the class start time. No refunds will be provided for no-shows or late cancellations. LACAC grantees who register and do not show up will be invoiced for the full cost of the course. You are encouraged to send an alternate if you are unable to attend.
