Succession Planning

A loss of key talent can create a disastrous outcome throughout an organization. It is almost certainly when you will lose talent rather than if. That means you must ask yourself, "Am I ready?" Most companies can develop a hiring process, but they have not thought through the entire process of preparing the organization for the change of leaders. Even worse, they have not prepared the leader for entry into the system. This task can feel daunting and overwhelming and it is difficult to even know where to start.
Join us for this full-day workshop and put those worries at ease. The workshop will teach you how to create and implement a succession plan.

Through more than 30 years as an experienced leader and via his doctoral work in organizational development and leadership focused on turning around underperforming organizations, Steven has acquired unique expertise in creating healthy organizations and stronger leaders. Steven marries the academic knowledge of organizational development and leadership to the experiential as evidenced in his decades of nonprofit executive leadership as well as in the founding of two social service organizations and one non-profit sports organization. He has been a consultant to scores of organizations as diverse as the Los Angeles County Department of Mental Health, First 5 LA, universities, media companies, foundations, non-profit organizations, and agribusinesses.


Cancellation policy: We require notice of cancellation at least 48 hours in advance of the class start time. No refunds will be provided for no-shows or late cancellations. LACAC grantees will be invoiced for no-shows for the full cost of the course. You are encouraged to send an alternate if you are unable to attend.
By registering: You will receive occasional emails about Partnership events. You can opt out at any time. You also give the Partnership permission to use your image for communications and waive any rights for compensation.
